This five-part premium series tells the definitive story of Hurricane Katrina from two decades of hindsight, going beyond the story we think we know to reveal the determination and self-reliance of the communities abandoned and left to defend themselves. Told through archival footage and the voices of those who experienced the storm, the series serves both as a tale of hope and resilience and a warning that while the consequences of humankind’s interventions in the environment may affect us all, they don’t affect us all equally.
