In a four-part documentary series Clay Aiken, the second-place star of American Idol and Celebrity Apprentice embarks on his third attempt to win American hearts and votes. From his home state of North Carolina, Clay launches a grassroots Congressional campaign on the blue ticket, endeavouring to bring a fresh, honest voice to Washington politics. But throughout his run, Clay struggles to be seen as a viable, relatable candidate to the conservative voters around him.
